Other than the "real deal", any two part expoxy would probably work. How well, I don't really know. I prefer to use products that have been proven over time.

I mix atomized stainless steel with high strength slow curing epoxy from Knife and Gun for bedding. I keep it for knifemaking anyway. Good old Johnson's paste Floor Wax works fine as a release agent. Hi vac grease is what Boeing uses in tool and die when putting fixtures together with Devcon. With magnetics that impregnated, the gooped up work is put in a vacuum chamber and the the vacuum is broken, and the goop goes in the cracks. I use Redding Imerial Die Wax, as it is handy. A 0.0001" thick layer of anything that stays wet will work, like your mother's non stick spray.

I do not know what they use for a release agent, but I think I have heard that a lot of "sniper rifles" use Marine Tex??? for bedding. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Out of the catalog Devcon metal filled epoxy can be used. They make it filled with aluminum, stainless steel or even titanium powder if you feel like it.

Why do they metal fill it? It looks like about the same compressive strength and about same thermal expansion.

floor wax, though its so common that its hardly alternative.. marine tex grey -- it has different properties than the white.. the white IS softer -- which reminds me, I need to call Harry and tell him that... the materials sheet clearly state the difference I've used Pam spray .. okay, it works.. its not pretty, it works.... why? someone said it would work, so I gave it a shot/spray I'll try the neutral kiwi, though jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? menards now sells a product call "pro-poxy" it comes in a 5 oz. tub and is available in a thickened consistancy about the same as accraglass. it is white but a little carbon black will dye it. i've used it and it works fine. johnson's paste wax works as good as any release agent around. just brush on a thin coat and let it harden as is, don't buff it, and nothing will stick to it.
