he top rifle in the photo is a 1908 Mannlicher-Schonauer Commercial Action ,action same as 1903 Greek or 1903/14 Greek Mannlicher.Internal rotary mag.

2nd Rifle has same action, split rear bridge style, manlicher bolt with slight variations.
Chambered in 270 winchester has a hinged floorplate instead of rotary mag.
bolt has slit left lug for blade style ejecter instead of sliding cover on left lug as 1908 bolt.

Is this a one off by a very good gunsmith or was it done by a factory?
WHAT IS IT ?.

check out the greek m/s actions. i think they used a mauser type box magazine instead of the rotary.

since no one has seen one like this it probably is a conversion by a gunsmith.

The Greek MS uses a rotary mag, so that rules it out (unless modified). I initially thought it might be the Portugese Mauser Vergueiro Model 1904 Rifle. However the bolt shroud is different. So it is still in the ???? catagory.

It looks a lot like a G98-40 with an Greek M-S cocking piece.

I have a barreled action quite similar to what you're showing. As near as I can tell, the one I have is a Haenel-Mannlicher. Apparently Haenel used a Schoenauer style action as a basis for the conversion. Haenel also used Model 88 Mausers for conversions, but they are completely different.
