tomo577check out the greek m/s actions. i think they used a mauser type box magazine instead of the rotary.
since no one has seen one like this it probably is a conversion by a gunsmith.

ThaineThe Greek MS uses a rotary mag, so that rules it out (unless modified). I initially thought it might be the Portugese Mauser Vergueiro Model 1904 Rifle. However the bolt shroud is different. So it is still in the ???? catagory.

KurtCIt looks a lot like a G98-40 with an Greek M-S cocking piece.

craigsterI have a barreled action quite similar to what you're showing. As near as I can tell, the one I have is a Haenel-Mannlicher. Apparently Haenel used a Schoenauer style action as a basis for the conversion. Haenel also used Model 88 Mausers for conversions, but they are completely different.
