Today I picked up a really clean 1917 winchester. It has been D&T and the pond has been filled in. Hole spaceing (front and rear) is around .520. I held some weaver 45's up and the spacing is good but the contour looks a bit off.

Anybody know what bases I need. I would like to stick with the weaver style.

Thanks
Joel

A lesson in irony

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of free Meals and Food Stamps ever, to 46 million people.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us... "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

Thus ends today's lesson in irony.

Thanks Jeffe,

I'll pick up a set for the 700 and check it out for the rear also. the rear looks identical to the front but it gives me a place to start.

I had to put a radius on the bottom of the bases for them to fit the top of the action properly.
