Today I picked up a really clean 1917 winchester. It has been D&T and the pond has been filled in. Hole spaceing (front and rear) is around .520. I held some weaver 45's up and the spacing is good but the contour looks a bit off. Anybody know what bases I need. I would like to stick with the weaver style. Thanks Jeffe, I'll pick up a set for the 700 and check it out for the rear also. the rear looks identical to the front but it gives me a place to start. I had to put a radius on the bottom of the bases for them to fit the top of the action properly. | |||
