I can not get a clear image of the Masterpiece Fully Adjustable Rear Sight from NECG's web site. It the blade a standard "V" or does it have a notch cut into the V? Could anyone post a photo of a close up of what the blade looks like from the shooters view point? What is the general opinion of this sight? Thank you My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Snowwolfe My only regret is that needs to be more vertical adjustment because the height selection of front blades is rather limited. Otherwise it is a fine sight Doug Humbarger NRA Life member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club 72'73. Yankee Station Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Snowwolfe, You didnt ask but just for the hell of it I will tell you that the see through rear sight NECG offers is one hell of a sight on a DGR. I had the one above and wasn't crazy about it, I like the see through much better. HBH

i have it on my personal 500 jeffe if you decide to solder on, you MUST leave the internal screwhead (or fill with solder)as teh elevation has a screw on-top/behind the blade. the screws in the front are to lock, not adjust. yep, just pulled it out and looked at it. so, what *I* do is to solder them on, and cut the screw head off and drop in. when I tried just solder, the elevation screw bit in. just what worked for me why didn't i just tap it? my 500jeffe has a LIGHT barrel, the whole things weighs barely 9#, and i didn't want to DnT it opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? I dont have the expereince required to solder or drill and tap. My smith usually drills and taps. Any potential problem area with this method? My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

DnT is better.. he'll need a bottoming tap, of course greener said "we will solder any rib on a rifle, but we will also use 2 screws" or words to that effect my barrel was so thin that i WOULD not go .150 into the barrel.. i just soldered it opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Jeffeosso, How far from the end of the action should I measure the barrel to determine what size sight to order? Thank you My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Jim, thanks for the top down pic. on can see 5 screw head.. 2 horz, 2 vert, 1 windage. the the vertical one, on the sight, not the base, is the one i am talk talking about. if the space under that is a void, turning it results in no elevation. after the elevation adjustment is made, the 2 horz screws lock it in place. the most "to the right" vert screw locks for windage. SW, it should be on the main barrel taper, AFTER it steps down... but, it can be as far bas as you like, to increase sight radius, it may just look a little odd opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
