If you had to choose between these two modeles, which one would you choose and why?

I would have to say the Ruger...a little to much plastic for my likeing on the Tikka's. However if it where me I would opt for a cz....you get metal not plastic and accuracy like the t3.

There will be quite a difference in weight in a standard Ruger and a T3. The T3 will more than likely have the better trigger out of the box, but adding a Timney to the Ruger will net about the same amount of money out of pocket. I like the Ruger myself, I've had great luck with them, despite what people say, I've got the website to prove it. But, on the other hand, the T3 is one fine rifle and from what has been posted on the net, very few people are dissatisfied with them.
I really think you should handle them both and pick the one that feels the best. If you like to tinker with guns, the Ruger probably will shoot very well. If you shoot a gun just as it comes out of the box, I'd get the T3. Either way I think you'll be happy.

If I was going to use it out of the box, I'd pick the Tikka. Great trigger, free floated barrel, and accurate.
