.210 Dovetail ?

I picked up a Husqvarna 640 built on a commercial FN action chambered in 7.92x57 (8mm Mauser). It’s in great shape but it’s missing the front sight blade. It appears to measure as a .210 dovetail (measured at base). All my 3/8 dovetail blades are way too large to fit. Other than replacing the ramp base, anyone know of a source for a dovetail front sight blade?

I think the older savage 99's use a small dove tail also.

Thanks Tom. I’m going to rig up something to determine sight height first.

superglue a matchstick in the groove, paint it black with a marker, trim it at the range with a box cutter, touch it up with the marker

Check one of the barleycorn front sights from a Mauser.
I used an old ramp and sight insert on a lightweight rifle years ago. I thought it was from an old Mauser. I just measured the dovetail on the insert and it's .210.

Finding a real Mauser one will be much harder. I have what he wants, just on rifles. So I can make one for him.
Metric? Maybe. .210 is 5mm. Sort of.

Was just in the shop and looked in the box marked Mauser Stuff.
I've got one of the inserts.
If you send me your email I'll send you a picture and you can decide if it's what you want.

Make sure it either 70 or 60 degrees....A front 70 degree cutter from NECG just might be what you need,''I;s the cutter for Euopean inserts as found on Their ramps

I don't think the tool mfgr's really weant to see a universal measuering system. Would cut their business in half.
