How do you folks go about lapping Talley rings?

I only talley rings I ever use the quick release style rings where you can tighten the base independent from the ring if that makes sense. I mount them on the gun with the lapping bar in place with the top of the ring loose. Then lap.

Simply mount the bar the same exact way you would a scope and then lap accordingly.
