I'm fixing up a gun for a gentleman with dwarfism. The length of pull is shortened so much that I need a VERY small recoil pad. Are there any pads out there that I can grind down without running into a metal insert? The pad dimensions will be about 3 5/8 by 1 5/16. You might check Kick-Eez. I'm pretty sure they do not have a metal insert.

Conneticut Shotgun has Silvers and others, red, brown, I think, with no metal. Stephen

I had originally intended to use a Silvers pad, but the screw spacing on that one is too wide. I may be able to fit a flat plastic buttplate on it instead of a pad. NRA Endowment Member US Army Veteran CWP Holder Gunsmith

Hogue is another option.

NOt sure but I think only Pachmyer has a metal insert??? another option is a Neidner checkered steel butt plate and matching grip cap is needed..The look nice.. Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com

The Pachmayr Old English Youth pad is the same size as their small, but it lacks the metal insert. Aut vincere aut mori

Kick-Eez should work. I had one on a gun for my daughter when she was 12 that was ground down to about 20% smaller than a conventional small. One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. - Groucho Marx
