I'd check with the guys at http://www.benchrest.com, there is a forum there and they'll know tons about those types of actions. A friend of mine shoots BAT actions and I can attest to their beauty and accuracy. Unfortunately, they're a bit too champagne for my beer wallet... My gunsmith recommends Nesika Bay. He does accuracy work for government agencies and a lot of stuff for Powell River Laboratories. Every now and then I get him to condescend to do a huntin' rifle for me on a Brno, CZ, Whitworth, or Winchester. ------------------

I have not used a BAT action, but am told they are very good, Hall is well made, don't know about Geske. I have used Nesika actions, one thing I find about Nesika is their consistency. I can measure the distance from the end of the receiver to the top of the bolt today, and it is the same distance as the action I used in 1998. I like Nesika actions. Must be getting old , there was a time when a person asked for advice on some action, I sent him to main street on saturday night! I have seen the Geske actions and they are well made and work very well. Since Gary is a 1000yd BR shooter himself he makes actions with this use in mind. There are usually a number of them on the line at Whitefish or Missoula. Regards, Bill.
