We have a discussion on a forum is RSA. The question is: Whar is the action with the fastes lock time? The Sako A7 is said to have lock time of 1.3ms.
I remember reading a long time ago about a American action that have'nt had a coilspring but spring wassers that was compressed.

There likely IS an action firing system powered by Belleville washers made here in the USA, but if so, I am not familiar with it.

There is, However, an English action which is/was used a lot in high-power, long-range match shooting world-wide which is powered by them...it is the English RPA. they also make/made the Quad-lite single-shot match action. It has 4 large front locking lugs, but uses a conventional spring to power its firing pin.

My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
