I have a CZ 527 Hornet that is giving me considerable trouble in feeding from the magazine. Invariably it will not feed either the second or third round and sometimes will not even feed the first one. I am really fed up with this and besides, I despise magazines anyway. Does anyone know from experience if the bolt on this little Mauser-type action can be altered so I can single load? I know the regular Mauser bolts can be altered to allow single shot performance without using the magazine as I five Mauser M98 rifles I have had altered this way. Any comments from a gunsmith or from someone who has had this done would be appreciated. | ||

Take a look at the "single shot" followers on brownells and you can probably make a mag replacement out of either delrin, wood, or a thick cutting board.. the thick plastic cutting boards are design to be abrasion resistant, and have tons of use, when you need an acetal plastic cheap. opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
