I've thrown in the towel in trying to continue the Sound Metal Products name and logo. The property tax assessor simply refuses to observe or even look at receipts that clearely make me personally and not SMP the owner of assets. The dirty little secret is that the "sole owner" gets a $15000.00 exemption that is not avilable to an LLC. Guess how long it took me to pry that out of them? Two kinds of lies: That which is un true and withholding that which is true. Anyway, all products are still available through Duane Wiebe...thanks folks.... | ||

Duane, I am glad you will continue to produce the bottom metal. The three I have bought from you have all been excellent. I still hope you will do a run for the '03. Now I thought the burden of proof was on the government when it came to taxes?? Please note I've yet to be under the gun on a tax bill or had anything like this happen. Duane ;Try explaining to the assessor all those employee's which will now be thrown out of work , simply because of the tax assessments on the owner 1. Demand a public hearing meanwhile as that's being scheduled ,submit a Grant request to the Feds for Tax incentive studies , related to the Firearm industry manufacturing in General . Obummer's administration May just slide you a couple of million bucks for stimulus of economic growth potential ,relating to the firearms industry !.
