Hi guys - probably a too simple question for this forum, but I've got a M1952 Mannlicher Schoenauer that I need to install a front sight hood on, and I'm afraid of scratching the sight or the base in the process. Q: Are snap ring pliers the best way to go (I've used them on K98 sight hoods, but this one seems much stiffer), or is there another simple trick I can use? Thanks for the advice! I use a flat blade screwdriver and a little adjustable wrench which forms the fulcrum for the screwdriver. BTW, K98s do not have sight hoods. | |||
