Can anyone help me out here? I have the grey down nice and can pretty much match the govt jobs. For whatever reason though we have not been able to hit on a green that matches. All look nice but are way off from what is wanted. Formulas? Technique? I don't know. So is anyone here proficient with this and willing to give me some much needed advice?

I have done a lot of research on that topic; in WW2, Remington (for one) used a process that converted the phosphate and used a dye to make it green. I don' t think anyone does it any more, at least I have not been able to find one in the past 40 years. A company called Jackson-Lea used to sell the process. Some have said that the green is from cosmolene; it isn't. I have used oil and acrylic paint either alone or mixed with cosmo to good effect.
