The little ejector ( plunger) , sticks... sometimes... I took it apart and can't find anything wrong or dirty. Any ideas? Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

Over time with recoil the the cutout in the plunger body can develop a slight burr where it contacts the cross pin. It may only be visible under magnification. This burr can and does retard/seize the ejector. Inspect this and stone/polish away if found. Powder residue can infiltrate the ejector mortise too making it sluggish. Also check the spring. They can weaken. It should take moderate force to push a case against the ejector. If it ever sticks and won't spring out soak ejector with Marvel Mystery Oil while gently heating with a propane torch. Let this cool and then heat again until the oil starts to bubble. Remove the cross pin. Point bolt head into a towel. The ejector will usually be propelled out by pressure.

The most common is dirt and rust. I always clean and oil. Burrs next. Could have been when you took it apart the problem went some place. It is really a simple item.
