Will a Remington 700 short action bolt function correctly in a Remington 722? RELOAD - ITS FUN!

I have two such bolts from a 721 (I beleive they are the same bolts) that I use in two switch barrel 700s going from Magnum to standard bolt face. Works great. Olcrip, Nuclear Grade UBC Ret. If they are fitted properly there should be no problem.

Maybe I'm off base here but isn't a 722 bolt the one with multiple small locking lugs? If that is the case the 700 bolt is not going to work. For best results get both rifle bolts out lay them side by side and look for yourself, I think you'll see an obvious difference.

The bolts are interchangeable but only if making sure the headspace is correct. Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

You are comparing the 700-721-722 family of bolts with the 788 bolt. Jim 99% of the democrats give the rest a bad name. "O" = zero NRA life member
