Has any one used those Swede barrel from Samco? What is the deal on them...

What is the difference between the 96 and the 38 Other than one being shorter? Meterial composition? Rifling? WHAT>>>> Thanks... | |||

Material is the same in both barrels : steel with slight copper content. Brand new barrels are in the white meaning not blued. | |||

MK - The M-38 has a down-turned bolt handle whereas the m96 has a straight bolt handle. Rifling etc is the same in both models. Chekc the brass disc on the stock and if the there is a a little triangle mark over the 1 or 2, the barrel doesn't need replacing - heck most "3" barrels still shoot very well. Whatever you do PLEASE don't cut a nice looking old Swede unless it has been "sporterized" already. | |||

Are these rifle barrels made by the company that made the swedes. I tried buying one from SAMCO but they would not sell me one becuse I do not live in Australia. ------------------ | |||
