graybirdCost of a producing a stock from a blank?
So, what is the average cost of going from a blank to a finished stock? I know the total cost depends on the cost of the blank, quality of blank, grain, etc., but I'm looking at the actual cost of the work going from blank to finished product.
Thanks,

a richard or GAG will cost you like 100 bucks .. and then lots of time ane effort ..
mike kukolus will cost a bit more, and be a bit less effort
if you want the whole thing farmed out, including checkering.. 400 to 2500 ..

To have a professional stockmaker(ACGG) do it you are looking at $2,000 to $4,500 for the most part. There are some who do it for less, and some who command much more.
