what holds the extractor in the bolt is there a pin I am not seeing?

the extractor has to be lifted, very carefully, straight up to clear a stud on it's underside. when the stud is clear of the hole it sits in on the bolt body, it can be slid out of the slot it sits in.

they are easy to break.

this is it simpler than above:

1)carefully lift at the front, Kuhnhausen says a small screwdriver is a good tool for this

2)slide the extractor forward once the stud is clear of the bolt body
