Hey all, the 'smith is just about done with my new rifle. Its a MRC .416 Rem. Mag., with a Bansner glass stock. The rifle is Stainless. Does anyone have any ideas for the finished product? I was originally thinking of getting it Teflon coated, and having the stock painted a Tan/Safari color with a little black spackle or spiderweb....But I got a thought in my head about getting the Iron bead blasted and painting the stock dark dark grey. I better decide quick. Any ideas at all, feel free to share them please. I know its all a cosmetic thing, but still nice to have a nice lookin' piece.

Thanx.

I never understood why people sometimes paint their stocks in order to camoflage them and then don't paint their stainless steel barrels.

I would have the whole thing painted.

I like a light bead blast on SS, the metal ends up looking like it has already acquired some "personallity".

That works for me as well.

Blast the barrel and action with aluminum oxide chips and then Gun-Kote it with matte dark grey or light black. Grey stock, like the McMillan grey.
