Want to finish my new laminate stock. I normally use Tru-oil to finish stocks. Any tricks for laminate? open to suggestions. Thanks Bruce

lam's wont "close up" like wood will, without a lot of work and mud coats.

i've done these with just about everything.. and i STILL suggest a low gloss poly, 2 coats, you are done

If you use tru-oil put the first few coats on with one of those sponge brushes. Jeffe is right it takes quite a bit to fill in.
