Had a local smith install a set of NECG sights on my Lott. After trying three different loads I realized I most likely ordered the incorrect height for the front bead. Even with the rear sight adjusted as high as I can go the POI is still to low at 25-50 yards. Before I send off another order to Brownells (my wife says I am real good for the economy:) I just wanted to make sure I am going the correct route. In order to get the POI raised I need to order a lower front sight bead correct? My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Yes lower front sight. There is a formula, it used to be in the Brownells catalog, that used the sight radius, "and some other numbers" that would tell you how much taller or lower front sight you needed to obtain zero, baised on where you are hitting now. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Distance to target (in inchs) / distance between sights (in inchs)= X Distance you want the bullet to move (in inchs) / X = amount of sight change needed
