SnowwolfeAdjusting iron sights.........
Had a local smith install a set of NECG sights on my Lott. After trying three different loads I realized I most likely ordered the incorrect height for the front bead. Even with the rear sight adjusted as high as I can go the POI is still to low at 25-50 yards.
Before I send off another order to Brownells (my wife says I am real good for the economy:

) I just wanted to make sure I am going the correct route.
In order to get the POI raised I need to order a lower front sight bead correct?

N E 450 No2Yes lower front sight.
There is a formula, it used to be in the Brownells catalog, that used the sight radius, "and some other numbers" that would tell you how much taller or lower front sight you needed to obtain zero, baised on where you are hitting now.

blackbearhunterI have had the same problem many times and had to get the smallest/lowest/ bead made to hit POI..Hang in there, its a common problem..easy fix.
Hope this helps & good luck, post a pic of your target for us to see, when you get it sorted out..

Distance to target (in inchs) / distance between sights (in inchs)= X
Distance you want the bullet to move (in inchs) / X = amount of sight change needed
