yes, it's from the link in the 460 Weatherby/Dying fad thread. I didn't want to hijack that thread.

It is mesmerizing. The back end looks a mile deep. It looks like some semi-transparent stone or colored glass. I'm guessing it's walnut, but what type? How many kids would I have to sell to get a stock like that built?

Looks like one of the European Walnuts. Like Turkish?? Blank now days $1500-2000 maybe more maybe less. Depends on how proud the seller is. One guys $1500 is the next guys $900.

http://luxuswalnut.com/t/rifle-blanks as an example

As to the finishing All the way up to several $1000 as in 5-7000.

Example http://dressels.com/stock-work/ Is around $5000. Other on AR charge more others less.

As usual just my $.02

Terrible stock, I'd spend all day looking at myself in the mirror and get no hunting done Big Grin

Not usually into real fancy wood but that is very nice and agree the pattern looks deep.

Have not seen a rear swivel so far forward before and so would like to understand the principle behind it, does this position make it easier to carry over long distances or is it just personal preference and aesthetics, beautiful rifle. If you haven't already, would you please share who did the metal and wood work. Thanks

Perhaps because the forward swivel is also forward? I suppose the barrel would not stick up as high when carrying through brush.
