Were the long .30-06 length actions just opened up for the .458s? Were there any difference in the actions? | ||

Yes the mag well rails were opened up to feed the fatter case. The action needs nothing done if the bolt face is made for a magnum case head. Those actions are plenty strong. A push feed would not be my first choice for DG however. Do it right the first time. | |||
