that will be a very nice rifle when you get it done. What caliber is it?

From what I can see it looks to be a very nice piece of walnut. It would be neat to see it with a little paint thinner wiped on the surface so the color would show. Should be a real dandy.

Terry, Looks great, good luck with it. Does that bolt clear a low scope or is it just for open sights. Handle looks good that long. Thanks, Bob

Terry- It's hard to tell from the photographs so... I guess i'll just ask. It doesn't look like there's a bevel at the ejection port. Will there be a bevel? What about the treatment at the rear of the grip cap. I like the cap to ride on the toe line, but I've been having trouble shaping that short radius mainly to the sides of the rear of the grip cap. Am I correct in thinking the toe line sort of follows in a small groove up the grip? In any case, it looks good. Obviously, no drop at the comb. Interesting design feature. And the top of the wrist stays high, which diminishes the drama of comb. I'm wondering what the genesis of this is? Is it a variation on an earlier design? Anyway, great project, nicely executed, in an excellent chambering. flaco

That is starting out to look outstanding. The high wrist is definitely different, but in looking at the first rifle and yours, I can see where it has appeal. What effect does it give when you shoulder it? Is it similar to a "English" (straight grip) stock on a shotgun? Thaine "Begging hands and bleeding hearts will always cry out for more..."
