Reboring a 458

Interesting question a friend asked:

Is it possible to rebore his CZ550 in 458 WM to 500 Jeffery, or is there not enough meat on the barrel? He would also cut it back to 22"

I asked him to measure the barrel OD at 22" but he has no mic. The 416 barrel is .710 at the 22" mark, which would leave barrel wall thickness of .710 - .510 = .2 / 2 = .1 inches - seems mighty slender for a 50 cal to me; ok from a pressure standpoint I am sure, but perhaps a bit whippy under full recoil.

Is the 458 WM / Lott barrel thicker?

I am very interested in this, since we shoot together on rare occasions it would be the cheapest way for ME to try a 500 Jeffery!
