this morning i had the opportunity to visit with tip burns of Burns Custom Gunsmithing... canyon lake, tx...located about 40 miles nw of san antonio.... super nice guy, excellent examples of his work on premesis... like a particular 1909 argentine in .416 taylor....and several other 1917 enfields....in a couple of months, i'll start my enfield....his website is www.burnsgunrepair.comm

MJines, What are those scope bases you used on that rear bridge that still has the charger hump. Are they just weaver grand slam bases part# (?) for military mauser?

I need a set

GSP7, those are Warne bases and I had to do a small amount of mill work on the rear base so it would fit right. The base was supposed to be able to clear the hump but wouldn't quite make it.HTH,
