I posted this on the gun cleaning but no response. I've heard to not use oils with teflon inside the bore of a rifle, OK. If it is than what will happen and how do you remove it? The reason I ask is that when cleaning my 220 swift last, a visual into the mouth of the muzzle looked like I wasn't getting all the nitro residue out. It didn't look like bare steel except on the lands. I use break free on some things and I'm thinking I may have oiled the bore down with it and this may be what I see. Also when pushing the cleaning rag down the bore it pushes smoothly the first 8-10" and then it feel like more resistance slightly. This rifle usually puts everything into .3-.5" and now it's a 3/4" gun. Some/any advice is needed please. --------------------------------- It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it

shot 20-30 rounds and then use a foaming bore cleaner.. teflon ONLY bonds (chemically) at OVER 800degrees, so, like moly, you'll need to shoot it ... you do understand that .3 to .5 going to .75 can be load, blood pressure, or even gas, right? opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Not saying that the oil is not your problem. My groups change that much depending on what side of the bed I got up on. I've used Break Free for years. I have never notice a change in group. As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Teflon breaks down at high tempertures into poisonous gas and abrasive particles. But if it works for you...
