I'm getting a 375-338 Chatfield Taylor built, and am interested in any pet loads or advice for this. Mainly gonna be shooting 235 gr to 270 gr bullets (235 gr "plinkers"). Building it on a Tikka 7mm M-695 that I won in a raffle...thanks.

Start with reasonable loads (with the same bullet weight) listed for a .338 WM or a .358 Norma mag. and cautiously work up. When you see the first sign of pressure back off two grains. That's your maximum load.

Medium burning powders are the best for the .375/.338.

start with 376 steyr loads... and work up
just about the same capacity, and the 376 is smaller, so the loads would be lighter...

Loadings are essentially the same as for the 375H&H. Most guys Ibuilt them for ended up using 4064 with 270 gr bullets. One of my favourite wildcats. Regards, Bill.
