Kimber trigger?

I whittled a stock for a friend of mine for his Kimber 84 and after putting everything together, it seems to have a problem with the safety not operating properly. After looking really good at this thing I've decided it is the biggest POS ever made to resemble a trigger. This safety link doo-dad is as hokey as they come. I'm thinking aftermarket trigger for this rifle to really make it shine.

Does anyone know who makes a left hand trigger for a Kimber 84? I heard one time that they take Remington triggers but can't find anyone to verify that. Anyone have any information I can use to remedy this situation?- TIA- Sheister

What Kimber 84 are you working on? Is it the Oregon model?

I believe it is, but I'm not completely sure. Not my rifle and don't know the history of it but it looks an awful lot like the original Oregon models.- Sheister
