The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood. Wilbur Smith

However, my gray is more bluish than their gray swatch, and the olive I've had was noticeably darker than their olive swatch. Always hard to tell until you can see it first hand...
Free Miner, I took delivery of one for fellow forum member Chuck Nelson from AB.
It's an M70 Edge inletted for a FW pattern. With a 1" Decelerator (rather than the 1/2" that McMillan usually supplies with the Edge) it weighs 22.6 oz's and is incredibly stiff... a marvelous stock really. I will probably end up with one hence this thread!
It may be that my camera somewhat exagerates the tones of my stock but it is definitely grey, with no tendency toward green. Here is another shot (with green grass in the picture and with the predominately brown/grey kudu backskin for contrast).
Not only is the MacMillan about as good as it gets in synthetic stocks, I think the pattern is quite good looking. It handles the recoil very well (straight back, almost no muzzle jump) and that is a good thing with a .416 Rigby.

Wink, your stock looks just like Chucks which was ordered green. It's a very subtle "mossy-grey-green" and looks exactly like your photos and nothing like 9.3x62's... who knows?
Free Miner, for a bit of extra cash I'd go with the Edge. It's probably the most impressive, light stock I've handled.
Sako, thanks for the kind words but was really no trouble and I got to monkey paw Chuck's stock!
They are nice, aren't they Brad? For comparison purposes, my Edge stock inletted for a long action M70 (30-06), standard sporter barrel, and Williams one piece bottom weighs 22.9 ounces. That weight is also with a one inch Decellerator pad, studs, bedding, and paint.
