Short. However, the identical case .257 Roberts and 7x57 were on the long action. Go figure. | |||

The Ruger short action tang safety rifle is a little longer than some short actions. The magazine is about 3.00 long. I have 2 M77s. One is a 6MM 77V varmint weight rifle (short action). The other is a 7X57 and is a long action. Both are all factory original. | |||
