| they are not that hard to make, if you can access a mill and lathe. My gunsmith is teaching me how to make them, and barrel band front sights this week. That said, I can see why they cost more than a sack of donuts and a thermos of Starbucks (what I paid for mine).

| Thanks guys, just what I'm after, if I need a band .802" to .805" would I get the .790" band (next one up is .810")and ream it out too get the taper, like would there be enough meat on the walls of the band, thanks again.... |

| The Talley is .03 thick. So .79+.03=.82-.805=.015. Plenty thick. The band is sweated on. They make a half band that is only sweated on and it works fine. I know the NECG and Gentry cost a little more but I prefer their curved lines.
