I cannot use my mill or lathe these days. No place to set them up.

Some of my younger Godkids (20, 18, & 15) are getting interested in building "stuff".

LSS, I gave them a Bridgeport Mill and Lagun Republic 10x40", MT #5 lathe with 3 & 4 way heads.

That should get them started.

PS I gave them all sorts of brand name micrometers, dial gauges, dial test gauges, cutting tool holders, yada, yada. Got those with a sniper program off of flea-bay over a decade.

My smile is brighter than their's.

These kids are safe, and motivated.

One has his commercial diving welding certification down to 50 meters. Another is aerospace welding qualified. They build headache bars, cow catchers, and roll cages for fun - and safety.
