Rem model 7 main spring

Can some one tell me if the remington 700 short action main spring is different than the model 7 main spring (firing pin spring )
I'm not finding anything that is specifically for model 7 and the 700 short action one seems to fit ok.

Would trimming the 700 spring to the same number of coils work?

The one for the Rem 700 Muzzle loader is the same as the Model 7.
