i'm considering converting a rifle from 308 to 30-284. anyone know where i can rent a reamer. i would rather not buy one just to be used one time. or...maybe somebody can point me to a smith that already has one.

thanks

I think that Reamer Rentals listed that caliber but I don't see it listed now. I know they are out there. Give them a call.

Another option would be to use a .284 reamer and then use a .30 neck/throater.

Rent a .284 reamer and a .30 cal neck and throater. That should take care of that.

Malm, you are getting quite a reccomendation over on 24hr. Not sure yet whether that is good or bad.

Might want to consider a 7.5x55 Swiss. Same case head diameter, good brass availability, and inexpensive reloading dies.
