With stocks, its condition, condition, condition. A used, beat-up ADL stock may only bring $10, a new take-off laminate may bring a $100 or more.
With barrels, it's condition and chambering. A blue, worn rusty 308, might not get a $10 bid, while I saw a fluted, stainless new take-off in 300 Win go for $168 IIRC.
Anyway, you can at least defray the cost of your doner action. Also, check WalMart, sometimes, usually in the spring, you can find ADLs for $350-400.
