| It is a m96 action with a higher left side rail and no thumb cut.
I see them every once in awhile. Not sure how many were made. Allens Armory has sold several of those ones with the strengthened m96 action

| Strengthened is a stretch, I liken it to it being the Commercial 96 version of the 96 as the FN commercial is to the Std 98. No thumbcut and as JD said, a higher sidewall. I have several of these. Aut vincere aut mori |

| So, without a 3rd lug or front larger ring are they really any stronger, or just, as Mike said, commercial versions? |

| IMHO, Strengthened is more of a marketing term than a reality. If anything, I'd say they were ever so slightly more rigid. Enough to notice? I doubt it. One thing that may be less of an improvement is the solid siderail, it directs more gas down the the left rail than an action with a thumbcut in the event of a case rupture. Still nice little rifles if they're not all hacked up by Bubba's Swedish cousin. Aut vincere aut mori |

| Kind of hard to see in the one at Simpson, there's a scope side mount in the way.
Did they still have the charging hump and slot for the clip?
thanks,
