| I have indeed been taking some time for (unsuccessful) elk chasing and to shoot a LR match. The BSA action should work pretty well for the 338-06 with little or no alteration. I think these are a pretty nice action although I'm not that fond of the bolt stop system. I have not gotten around to using one of Bevan's barrels but I have looked at a few and they look very good. Those who have them speak highly of them. Regards, Bill. |

| The experience I had with king barrels was a good one. Most consistently accurate barrel/gun I have ever owned. Wasn't finicky and was an excellent price.
