I'm restoring an old Ruger stock and I had to strip down the finish and restain parts of it. How long should I wait after the stain dries, before I seal it? It is being stored in a fairly dry area with temps in the 65 to 70 degrees range.

Regards,
Kory

Depending on the type of stain you used, wait as long as a couple of weeks. Your sealer may dissolve some of the stain and lift it regardless of how dry the stain is...

I let stain dry for 24 hours as a rule or at least overnight...
