Sealing a Stock
I'm restoring an old Ruger stock and I had to strip down the finish and restain parts of it. How long should I wait after the stain dries, before I seal it? It is being stored in a fairly dry area with temps in the 65 to 70 degrees range.

DeBeeDepending on the type of stain you used, wait as long as a couple of weeks. Your sealer may dissolve some of the stain and lift it regardless of how dry the stain is...
Ive had good results waiting until the smell has gone away
