Hey guys I`ve got a problem.
I was cleaning a couple of rifles with my 4 yr old grandson "helping" and when I set my can of Wipe Out down to reach for a rag to wipe my bolts he pushed the button.
yup! Wipe out all over two rifles and the "gun mat"!! I cleaned up the rifles with soap and water - plastic stocks - and wiped everything with iso-alcohol after and the rifles seem OK. Now I`ve still got a 48" mat I bought from Mid Way that`s suppose to be washable and is full of solvent, can anyone recommend a cleaner or method of cleaning? I don`t want to set a gun on a solvent filled mat, and if I can clean and keep useing it I`d rather do that then toss and buy a new one. The wife ain`t letting it in her washer so that`s out.

Take it to a car wash and use the high pressure soapy water on it.

Thanks guys the carwash sounds easiest. I didn`t know if regular soap would remove the solvents and didn`t want to risk the finish on other rifles.

If it's washable and the wife won't let you use "her" washing machine I'd take it down to the local laudromat.
