Are you speaking of heat treatment or color treatment? If you are speaking of color go to kilic@kilic_feinechnik.de and scroll down thru their catalog to the Color cased Mauser action. I have never seen such color work. SCI Life Member NRA Patron Life Member DRSS

Another company that does it is Pacific Metal Treaters. I believe that is the same company that Thomas Burgess sends his work to.

Here is Pacific'c web site. www.pacmet.com. I think 22WRF is correct about them being where Mr. Burgess has his done. Allen It's a Mauser thing, you wouldn't understand.

Thanks. The request was for heat treatment (not CC). Looks like Pacific will work.

If you send your mauser to Pacmet and simply ask for the Burgess treatment, they'll know exactly what you want. Mr Burgess treatment is actually a shallow case but he's been in the business a long time and one might do well to follow his lead. Others have requested a much deeper carburization and seem to do well too. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."
