| I used a Demel tool....slowly and it worked just fine. Or you can use 80to100 grit sandpaper. |

| For me it would depend on how much wood has to be removed. If it is 1/16" or more (on each side), I would trace the new barrel outline on top of the stock and rough out most of the wood with spoon chisels and barrel channel rasp. Then spot the barrel in with inletting black and scrapers, for a tight wood-to-barrel fit.
