Hi Well the 17-4 ph steel would be the most ultimate barrel steel ever made due to the rust and erosion restant, but i can't find more information about cost and size and availability of these barrels. i could only find that they use this steel in some of their barrels and i don't know which one and in which caliber. are there any other barrel makers using this fine steel for their barrels too?where can i find info about this? regards danny

are you talking about the Accumax barrels? if so,..these are Lothar walther barrels made from the LW50 steel,..and are internally polished by Black Star. I think the reason the steel isn't used more is due to the necessity for a carbide reamer which is ~4x the cost of a HSS reamer. I have a Blackstar accumax blank and have been trying to find someone to chamber it for me.
