Customer brought in a family heirloom for repair. The hammer shaft of the tumbler and the tumbler link are broken and a small bushing of the swing-open barrel is missing.. The item is a 6-shot revolver, pin-fire shotgun???? in 26 guage??? Only marking is "EYRAUD" with "BREVETE" underneath it stamped on the top of the barrel. Noting on the enterweb except one reference indicating he was a gunmaker in St. Etienne, France from 1825 to 1840. I'd like more info for the owner who claims one of his ancestors had it made way back when. Mike Ryan - Gunsmith

Breveté is French for patent or patented. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.
