Mike in MichiganNeed info on French Gunmaker Eyraud
Customer brought in a family heirloom for repair. The hammer shaft of the tumbler and the tumbler link are broken and a small bushing of the swing-open barrel is missing.. The item is a 6-shot revolver, pin-fire shotgun???? in 26 guage??? Only marking is "EYRAUD" with "BREVETE" underneath it stamped on the top of the barrel. Noting on the enterweb except one reference indicating he was a gunmaker in St. Etienne, France from 1825 to 1840. I'd like more info for the owner who claims one of his ancestors had it made way back when.

WinkBreveté is French for patent or patented.
