I have a MK II in 270WSM and a Hawkeye in 35 Whelen, both are in Boyd's JRS Classic stocks, both are bedded identically. I did however have to shim the tang on the Hawkeye while bedding. That could be that the tang is thinner or the inletting on the stock too generous. Otherwise barrel taper and other dimensions seem the same.
